I Love a white kitchen. In fact,  I can not imagine myself in any other kind of kitchen, whether traditional or modern there is just something about a bright white space to make magic in. Some may dream of a white Christmas but I will dream of a white kitchen where I will prepare warm stews and candied confections galore and homemade hot chocolate. What???? A girl can dream, right.?

I love Monday!

I love Monday! I know I am in the minority here but I just love a clean slate. Halloween is over and I must say it was a good one but oh how I am ready to start anew. I have more inspiration  than I have time and so many holiday decorating and entertaining ideas lie ahead of me! Happy Monday to all!!

Second chances...

This is Chuey. Kevin found this little guy under a shed out on a farm. He was in pretty bad shape when he came home, his toenails were disgustingly long, he smelled really bad and he had cuts and scratches all over him. There is no telling how long it had been since this dog's last meal, in fact, Kevin had been setting food out for this little guy for a while before the dog trusted the generous cowboy to get close enough to examine him more closely. I'm not really into small dogs but this little guy has a huge heart which would help anyone to overlook his size. Chuey is a fighter, he fought to stay alive, he weathered the storm and predators and disease. Chuey has been gracious and kind to our family during his stay here and appreciates the hospitality. We could all learn a thing or two from Chuey . Here's to second chances.

What makes you, you??

Recently, Urban Nester posed two questions on her blog that I could not wait to answer myself:

1. What is on your mantle?
2. What is the quirkiest item in your house?

The quirkiest item in my house, I think, is on my mantle. Not too many folk sport an old anvil upon their mantle. Lots of fun and great  conversation starter. I love homes that tell a story and are completely personalized. How do you personalize your home and what makes your home you?? Inquiring minds would like to know. Have a great week!
