Remodel 2009. Before and After

Ever seen the movie The Money Pit? One of my all time favorites, I'v seen it many times and often feared that a plumber would be working in an area of my home  that housed my birth control pills and more fear when I realize he has been here long enough to know that it's time for me to refill them, which is what happens in the movie. I have contemplated asking a carpenter if he watch my kids for just an hour while I ran to the lighting store and if he could heat up a pancake-on-a-stick for my little one. While none of these follies actually took place and the pain of remodel is like childbirth, forgotten. We are very happy with the results and when asked if I would ever do it again I answer "absolutely! Just not while I'm living in it!"

These are just a few photos of our remodel. Actually, we finished major construction over six months ago but I was not ready to dig up the "before" photos until just now. This was such a fun project and a major undertaking as we lived in the house for 90% of the construction process with our three children for a full six months. Remodel is not for the faint of heart! I truly believe that if a marriage can withstand a six month remodel with three kids, there is nothing we can't handle from here on out!
